Quick Guide to Operation
Please let a trained doctor or nurse operate the device.
1. Pre-treat the wounds by doctors/nurses;
2. Debride and clean the wounds.
3. Evaluate the size of wounds.
4. Cut the foam to size and put it on the wound,
5. Cut the film (if necessary) and cover the wound and the foam.
6. Cut a small hole into the film, and connect it with the tubing.
7. Connect the tubing to the NPWT device.
8. Set the parameters and start the treatment.
9. Please monitor the status of the wound and device.
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy is the most popular wound treatment for Chronic wounds. It continuously / intermittently applies sub-atmospheric pressure to the wound surface, creating a negative pressure environment to kill germs and promote healing.
Usually, a Negative Pressure Wound Therapy system is composed of a device (pump), vac canister, foam dressing, films, and drainage tubings.
If you are suffering from a burn wound or chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers, you may be suggested using this therapy by your doctors. Research has shown that this therapy has a positive therapeutic effect on these types of wounds.
NPWT is a good treatment for some patients. However, not all of them. Your doctor will decide if you need it or not.
For non-infected wounds, we recommend changing the dressing every 48h. This time may be shorter for infected wounds. Ask your doctor about the frequency of change.
Do not change the dressing by yourself. Let a trained doctor or nurse helps you.
Your body conditions, the size of the wounds, even the position of the wounds, and many other factors will affect the healing speed of the wounds. Your doctor will tell you the approximate needing time.
Sure, you can start from 1 piece of NPWT Device. However, to apply the system, you will at least need 1 piece of dressing kit, and 1 piece of the canister.
Our minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 1 piece of NPWT device; 10 pieces of Dressing Kits (1 complete carton), and 10 pieces of Canisters (1 complete carton).
No, you cannot use canisters that made by other companies, as well as the tubings. They don’t match our devices.
