Negative-pressure wound therapy (NPWT), NP-200 is a portable wound vac therapy, a therapeutic technique using a suction pump, tubing, and a dressing to remove excessive exudate and promote healing in acute and chronic wounds.

Portable Wound Vac Therapy Operation Procedure

Step 1: Debride The Wound

  • Remove the necrotic tissue and contaminants.

Step 2: Clean The Wound

  • Wipe off blood stains with Hydrogen peroxide
  • Clean skin around the wound with Saline
  • Wipe the skin with 75% alcohol to degrease the oil

Step 3: Apply The Wound Dressing

  • Cut the foam to fit the wound
  • Cover the wound with the foam.

Step 4: Apply the Film

  • Cover the foam dressing and the surrounding skin with the film

Step 5 Cut a round hole

  • Cut a hole of 1-2cm in the center of the film,
  • Stick the suction cup to the film, just above the hole.

Step 6 Connect to the device

  • Connect the pipes to the suction device and start the therapy
